Las Vegas, NV, October 29, 2007 – The YMCA of Southern Nevada received a check for $50,000 to help support their Strong Kids Campaign from The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment (TDM). The money raised provides financial assistance for individuals to participate in the varied programs the YMCA offers local youth.

TDM president Michael Garvey stated, “Our business is committed to supporting youth fitness programs, we are honored to be partner of the YMCA in their support of the Las Vegas community.”

Los Angeles, CA, January 23, 2007 – The University of Southern California (USC), opened the Veronica Adkins Lifestyle Intervention Laboratory to help local youth fight obesity and type-2 diabetes. The lab hopes to give kids a chance to change their future through unique fitness and nutritional programs.

The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment (TDM) donated the exercise equipment for the program. Michael Garvey TDM President stated, “We are honored to be involved and support the goal of providing minority youth and their families a new attitude to health through exercise and nutrition education.”

The program is specifically designed to assist inner city area teens a chance to change their future through unique fitness and nutritional programs.

The Dumbell Man (TDM) donated the “Workout with The Man” van to assist with the program’s transportation needs. USC’s Dr. Louise Kelly stated, “Our location in East Los Angeles can sometimes present a challenge for some of our participants. The van will be an enormous asset!”

The one day event held at the Spectrum Club was part of Workout for Los Angeles, sponsored by The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment (TDM) for the 10th consecutive year.
