ADELANTO, CA. | NOVEMBER 18, 2014 – Adelanto is a city in San Bernardino County in SoCal high desert. The name Adelanto means progress or advance in Spanish, and was first given to the post office that was established on the site in 1917. Adelanto’s brand new high school opened this past August. The new PE Fitness Center and Athletic Training Room opened this month.

The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM) provided the design consultation, layouts and supplied the equipment for both of the exercise facilities.

The PE room features CYBEX ® 625 Cardio, VR1 Strength Training machines and a large ab/ stretch area. The cardio circuit also has VMX Rope® climbing machines and Concept II® rowers which enable students to participate in cardio-strength “cross fit training” environment.

The Adelanto Saints athletic teams will use the new weight room outfitted with Big Iron® free weights, platforms and benches.

California Lutheran University

THOUSAND OAKS, CA. | NOVEMBER 10, 2014 – California Lutheran University was founded in 1959 on a ranch donated by Richard Pederson, the son of Norwegian immigrants. The college opened its doors to 330 students in September 1961. The school’s Forrest Fitness Center recently upgraded their strength training equipment.

Located in the Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center on Cal Lutheran’s North Campus, the spacious 9,500 square foot Center now features a new line of CYBEX ® VR3 circuit and free weights. The multi-purpose exercise training facility serves the fitness needs for a student enrollment for 4100.

The fitness center is also the home of the strength and conditioning program for the Lady Regals and Kingsmen who participate in the University’s 20 men’s and women’s NCAA Division III sports teams

Southwestern College – Chula Vista

SWC #1CHULA VISTA, CA. | OCTOBER 22, 2014 – Southwestern College recently opened a new physical education classroom at the Chula Vista campus.  The Southwestern Community College District, located south of San Diego and serves as the primary source of college education for approximately 400,000 residents of South San Diego County.

The Exercise Science Department upgraded their fitness offering with the addition of a HOIST FITNESS® Motion Cage from The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM).  The students and staff have reported the Motion Cage as one of the most popular pieces of equipment at the school.

The functional training system provides exercise stations that can be configured to suit layout and curriculum needs. Configurations may include a Squat Rack, Renegade Station, Dual Hi-Lo Pulleys, Boxing Station, Rebounder Station, Wall Target Station, and more — all with integrated accessory hooks for bands and resistance straps. It also has its own kettle bell and medicine ball storage.

TDM has provided design consultation, supplied equipment and exercise equipment maintenance at the college for the past ten years.

Whittier College

Whittier College #1WHITTIER, CA. | OCTOBER 10, 2014 – Whittier College recently upgraded their 2500 square foot student recreation and athlete performance facility. Founded in 1887, Whittier College has been a place of academic innovation and athletic excellence. The Whittier Poets compete with 22 men’s and women’s NCAA Division III sports teams.

The equipment upgrades at the George Allen Fitness Center serve the exercise needs of students, faculty, staff, and athletes. A new line up of CYBEX ® treadmills, Arc trainers, bikes, free weight equipment and Bravo functional trainers highlight the multi-purpose exercise training facility.

The Dumbell Man Supports Los Angeles Clippers Foundation…

Clippers #2LOS ANGELES, CA. | SEPTEMBER 22, 2014 –  The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM) teamed with Chris Paul and his foundation, the CP3 Foundation, along with the Los Angeles Clippers Foundation to help open up a Media and Technology Lounge at the Salvation Army Seimon Family Youth and Community Center in South Los Angeles.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to be here,” Paul said about the opening. “To have this opportunity to give back to these kids with brand new computers and all kinds of games is kind of simple to tell you the truth. It’s the right thing to do.”

The Media and Technology Lounge consists of brand new computers, a SMART Board, e-readers and tablets. In addition, the Clippers Foundation re-opened the Community Center’s renovated library, a game room and new fitness center from The Dumbell Man.

The Salvation Army Seimon Family Youth and Community Center serves one of the most troubled urban regions in Southern California. Offering services in three independent programs, the center supplies living assistance to low-income families through Family Services, growth and learning development for infants to five-year olds through Child Care, and academic, artistic and athletic activities for students of all ages through its Youth, Adult and Senior Programs.
